LA STAMPA - 23.01.96
"VASCO, THE WISEMAN'S WRATH"
...Nessun pericolo..per te ('No Danger...for You')
is his most beautiful record of the last decade, in which he returns
to the theme that is dearest to him, at any cost: personal freedom.
Here, Vasco is more reflective than transgressive, but flashy,
aggressive, ironic. At times angry and even, in some way, wise...You
would bet, after listening to him, that at 44, the Bard from Zocca
will be reconfirmed as the prophet of the dreams and rebellions
of Italian youth. Thanks to the sounds, as well: real nineties
rock, American style, with wild riffs splashed with nostalgia
for the seventies and even Brecht...this was Vasco the Rocker's
call in life. The record is sung from deep down inside, with outstanding
instrumentals by gifted professionals, mostly Americans, from
Treviso to Los Angeles to Bologna..."

L'UNITA' - 23.01.96
VASCO, ROCK FURY AGAINST ANY AND
ALL PROHIBITIONS
"Three years after the resounding success of Gli
spari sopra ('The Flak Above'), Vasco Rossi once again presents
a meditative and ferocious record, unleashing tight guitars and
autobiographic details, doling out tenderness and raging accusations.
Nessun pericolo...per te (No Danger...for You) will be in stores
starting tomorrow and is already threatening to send the competition
packing on the Italian Rock scene. Slow ballads that explode into
Rock and an apparently unappeasable anger that Vasco skillfully
blends with private insights."

L'INDIPENDENTE - 23.01.96
ROCKER VASCO FORSAKES RECKLESS
LIVING, BUT NOT HIS PENCHANT FOR MAKING GREAT RECORDS - SURE TO
BE HERALDED A MASTERPIECE.
"...Vasco Rossi, the man from Zocca, has given meaning
to the name rockstar, even if he was born only a stone's throw
from Modena. He has quickly discovered the greatest truth: it
isn't true that the road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom;
if anything, it leads to madness. Reckless living may be all the
rage at 20, but at 40 it leaves you ranting and raving. Vasco's
new album, Nessun pericolo...per te ('No Danger...for You')...settles
accounts with the expenses of a lifetime, where the debits and
credits don't always balance out... The guitarists - Mike Landau,
Stef Burns, Steve Farris, Andrea Braido - lay down the law, setting
the pace and the tone right from the very start...Nessun pericolo...per
te is a masterpiece of a mature age...Vasco leaves everyone else
behind. As usual..."

IL CORRIERE DELLA SERA - 16.06.96
VASCO OVERWHELMING FOR 80 THOUSAND
AT SAN SIRO STADIUM
A concert rich in sounds, joy, energy. With school
over, a rite of liberation begins for the young... Tributes to
the Sex Pistols and the Rolling Stones. Old songs also brought
back from his repertoire. A flurry of encores amidst the fans'
jubilation...But who's the real star? Saint Vasco or San Siro?...

IL GAZZETTINO - 15.06.96
"COMPLETELY SOLD OUT IN MILAN FOR THE SINGER'S
SUMMER TOUR OPENER
... He's a myth. It's written in black and white.
A poll published yesterday certifies that Vasco Rossi occupies
a leading place in young people's collective imagination, along
with Morandi, Vanoni, Elvis Presley, Pelè, Senna, Stallone, Sean
Connery and Ferrari's..."

LA NAZIONE - 16.06.96
"A TRIUMPHANT START FOR THE NESSUN PERICOLO...PER
TE TOUR. SAN SIRO STADIUM DELIRIOUS FOR ROSSI.
Monumental staging, perfect band: and the seventy
thousand in the Meazza Stadium stands consecrate "Blasco" as a
hero for all time. The surveys show that in that youthful pantheon,
where even cross-generational icons like James Dean or Che Guevara
no longer seem to find room, Vasco Rossi remains a solid, unassailable
presence..."

LA PREALPINA - 14.04.96
"NO DANGER - VASCO IS STILL GREAT
The beginning of every tour is a special event.
Vasco's openings, a rite not to be missed...Only after seeing
these young people can you understand why Vasco is VASCO, the
only Italian to play Rock who is also one hundred percent credible..."

IL GIORNO - 17.06.96
"WHY HIS MYTH STILL PERSISTS
The scene--a field of heads and hands below Vasco
Rossi's stage...swarming and alive like an invasion of African
grasshoppers--was truly special. Like an intracity football derby
or Milan/Juventus match. An event. Strong stuff, also musically
speaking, from the likes of Bob Marley and Bruce Springsteen on
down. In Italy, only Vasco has this type of following..."
